If you were born in the last 100 years, you grew up with the wonderful World of Disney played out across your screen as well as the rest of the cultural landscape. Founded in the early 20s, the World of Disney has become a name closely correlated with magical innovation, family-friendly entertainment, and boundary-pushing animation.
In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Disney announced that it would be working with the extraordinary talents of Cirque du Soleil to bring Drawn to Life, well, to life!
Drawn to Life: A Show For the Ages
When the first frames of a Disney animated classic appear on screen, a swelling in your chest and a burst of optimism is sure to follow. Drawn to Life seeks to capture those same uplifting moments in a package brimming with wonder, live talents, and the kind of technical spectacle that a team like Cirque du Soleil and Disney could only provide.
Considered a love letter to the animation that has made Disney the historic company it is today, Drawn to Life explores the story of a young girl and a mysterious unfinished animation left behind by her late father. As the young girl wields a magical pencil, she begins to animate her story before the eyes of the audience during a 90-minute journey fit for the entire family.
A magical pencil and a quirky group of characters fill the stage as friends and family members bond in the audience. A whimsical world presented in the way that only Disney and Cirque du Soleil can, tickets begin at just $80.
Drawn to Life is performed on the West Side of Disney Springs in Florida.
